Goodbye Europe, Hello Asia

Our quick stop in Madrid last week marked the end of what turned out to be an incredible 3 months in Europe. One last cafe con leche and we packed up and boarded our flight headed east to Kuala Lumpur.  After what seemed like several days in transit we landed and immediately started to feel the jet lag and culture shock.

It’s taken a few days, but we’re rested and starting to adjust to the change in scenery. Some changes – like the intense heat or getting stared and pointed at – are a everyday things and remind us that that norms and comforts of home are very far away. Others changes, like the food, friendly people and vastly different way of life have whet our appetite for the places yet to come. It’s exciting to be in a completely new and different part of the world that neither of us have been before!
