The View Today: Local Thai Market

A couple months back Bethany and I were in Barcelona and one of our favorite places to visit in that city was the La Boqueria – A massive covered market. Today Bethany and I took a walk through a less-touristy Thai equivalent in Chiang Mai.

There were a few familiar items we’d seen in Europe or farmers markets back home, but far more exotic fruits and meats that we’d never seen back in the states. From sugar cane to crabs to coconuts we got to sample all sorts of new foods. We even tried Durian – known as the stinky fruit – which was actually really good and not so smelly.
