Day 51: Red Beach

On the south side of Santorini is one of the island’s most unique places in the Greek Islands: Red Beach.  The climb to get to the actual beach is over sharp and brittle red volcanic rock down the side of a cliff – not really for the faint of heart. Looking out at the surf the volcanic sand and pebbles actually change the color of the water from clear blue to a bold and deep red.
